TM Ecology can provide a range of ecological services, either as a sub-contractor to other consultancies or working directly with clients. I am experienced in working on both small and large projects and I am always happy to answer your queries.

Based in Cambridgeshire, I am experienced in undertaking a range of protected species and habitat surveys - from initial Phase 1 and Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA) surveys and reports, to protected species surveys and reporting. I can also assist with ecological mitigation and habitat enhancement works and advice.
About me
I've worked as an ecologist since 2005 and have acquired a vast range of experience in the field. I specialise in all types of bird surveys and subsequent reporting. I am also experienced in many other protected species and habitat surveys as well as ecological mitigation, habitat creation and enhancement. I hold Natural England survey licences for great crested newt and barn owl. I am a full member of CIEEM and I am a Chartered Biologist (Royal Society of Biology).

Ecology Services
Bird Surveys: breeding bird surveys (including territory mapping analysis), wintering bird surveys, vantage point surveys, Schedule 1 surveys, targeted species surveys and nesting bird checks.
Ecology Reports: Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, Phase 1 habitat surveys, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), BREEAMs, species-specific survey reports and species and habitat management plans.
Site Supervision: Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW), vegetation clearance, destructive habitat searches, nesting bird checks, habitat creation, habitat maintenance and site clearance supervision.

Great crested newt surveys and translocations: Natural England licensed surveyor, experienced in great crested newt surveys, capture and translocation, HSI assessments and eDNA, also habitat creation and enhancement works for this species.
Reptile surveys and translocations: experienced in reptile surveys, capture and translocation, also habitat creation and enhancement works for reptiles.
Mammal surveys: presence/absence surveys for badger (including sett classification and bait marking), presence/absence surveys for otter and water vole, also habitat creation and enhancement experience for all protected mammal species. Bat emergence/re-entry and activity surveys and ground level preliminary roost assessments for trees and buildings.
Phase 1 and general habitat surveys: experienced in Extended Phase 1 surveys and reporting, general walkover surveys and site assessment.
